I tear apart the curtain of my own flesh
Lover! Mother of Plagues!
Crucifix! O, Longinus! Pour Water from my ribs!
Seed upon the altar!
Theophilic! Incestuous!
Child! For you, only tears!
For you only death!
Former things now reign!
Here a man!
Now a blasphemer!
Desecrated image!
Here a man!
Now a blasphemer!
Returning to my birth!
Here a man!
Now a blasphemer!
Lusting as I suffer!
Here a man!
Now a blasphemer!
Bring me into you!
I shall drink the flames of hell from your breast!
Sha'are Mavet!
The damned gates of your womb!
Curtains of the goddess close around my eyes!
Taken by the cursed walls of her,
The mother!
The Lover!
Inside!
Curtains of the goddess close around my eyes!
Unto her reversed birth!
The mother!
The Lover!
Inside!

Surreal does not even properly convey the emotion and utmost perfection of this work. A combination of both polarizing beauty and harshness, Kardashev continues to embark on defining the boundaries of the melodic, progressive death scene. djc062001

As someone who went backwards through Kardashev’s discography, I was surprised to see how effortlessly they leverage brutality in those older releases. Alice M.

I saw these gents open the evening for DWeF in Trier some weeks ago. The vocalist seemed terribly shy between songs and then went full-on beastmode on the vocals again; him overcoming this was one of the most metal things I have ever seen. Vi Overlevde is, excuse this, bizarrely good. Not too posty, but still with a remarkable edge and a pretty unique feel to it. Maybe I'm still carried away by the live performance, but alas! This is great. Ensomhet is... beyond words. Kom til meg! David Fischer
